I hope you are all doing well. Today I am sharing the process of how I guided Cari through designing the cathedral length veil. She had purchased the Luxe 108″DIY Veil Kit to create her daughter Hallie’s Veil.

Before the first consultation, the following were started:

The dress was purchased
Pinterest board was put together for the veil & hairstyle
Measurements for the width (A) & length(B) of the dress were taken

Example: Cari’s Measurement were WidthA=65″, LengthB=90″

1. First Consultation: Questions I asked Cari:
  1. 1. How do you imagine the veil length? CL: past Hallie’s dress
    2. When is the wedding date? July 7, 2019
    3. If wearing a hair bun, will the veil be worn above or below the bun? CL: Bun, but still thinking about above or below
    4. Do you want a blusher (the veil that goes over your face or a second tier)? CL: no
    5. Will it be worn at the ceremony/reception/both? CL: Ceremony only
    6. If worn to the reception, does she want it bustled? CL: since wearing it to the ceremony only, no veil bustling
    7. Will it be worn with any other hair accessories? CL: Yes, embellished hair comb
    8. What is the width / length of the dress? CL: Width=65″, Length=90″
    9. Dress color? Ivory/White/Champagne/etc.
2. Veil Kit Option: From the information I gathered, I suggested the LUXE 108″ DIY Veil Kit for her. Since Hallie wanted the veil to be longer & wider than the train of her dress, the best option was the LUXE DIY Veil 108″W Kit.*Veil Kit options are the 54″, 72″, 108″ Width
3. Color Swatch: I mailed a color swatch. I worked with Cari & Hallie to find the perfect match to her wedding gown and embellished hair comb. The 3 of us corresponded via group text. I wanted Hallie to have a “that’s pretty” moment. When that happened, I knew it was the perfect color for her;). After the color was finalized, Cari made payment and the Veil Kit was shipped.

4. Customized instructions for the step-by-step design process was put together for Cari. She received the link to the password protected instructions. The reason for the privacy is because photos were shared that can not be seen before the wedding date. 5. 1-1/2 hour Consultation, by appointment only: The kit also comes with a 1.5 hour consultation to answer any questions needed. Because of technology today (and with her living in Nebraska and me in Texas), we set up an appointment time to do a video chat.
6. Finished Veil: I am so proud of Cari & the beautiful veil she created. She did such an excellent job! The veil was everything Hallie envisioned.
